On his excursions one could fall in love with southern Italy
Paolina Scalisi has been an Environmental Hiking Guide since 2015.
She studied foreign languages and literatures, and in order to carry out her profession to the best of her ability, she also obtained a degree in tourism. In order to be able to provide her fellow travellers with an ever new experience Paolina continues to train herself in everything related to nature and its scientific aspects.
She lives and works mainly in her homeland, Sicily, which she deeply loves and which never ceases to surprise her. Although she knows the island very well but on each tour she finds something new and gets excited by a glimpse, a smell or a taste. Her tours are also a continuous discovery for her thanks to Sicily’s wealth of unique peculiarities: smaller islands, volcanoes, mountains, parks and reserves… a concentration of everything.
The best way to immerse oneself in the Sicilian atmospheres is through a slow sharing with the spaces that embrace us, on foot, calmly, for an experience that will be difficult to forget.
She is freelance and collaborates with travel agencies and tour operators, both Italian and foreign.
Since 2021, she has been an official guide of the Island of Pantelleria National Park, a small island in the extreme south of Italy, a gem of views and flavours in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.
