TENGU LOW GTX - IMPORTANT MAGAZINE RECOGNITION: OUTDOOR MAGAZIN AND SKIALPER
AKU Tengu Low GTX ranks best footwear in the multi-terrain test carried out by the German magazine Outdoor Magazin and has been recognized by the Sieger Test. As further proof of its value, Tengu Low GTX has also been selected by the Italian magazine Skialper as among “The best mountain shoes 2018”.
In its June 2018 issue, Outdoor Magazin compares 10 pairs of multi-terrain footwear, testing them on a 17 km path in the Palatinato region in Germany. Tengu Low GTX is the only one to have received the Test Sieger recognition and is considered ideal not only for light trekking but also for mountain excursions with a 15 kg backpack, and as being comfortable to wear, with an efficient step on any type of terrain and with a shoe upper that easily adapts to any foot shape. “When walking you don’t notice its 1090 grams”, observes the tester Kerstin Rotard. Tengu Low GTX ranked well across the board, getting the highest mark on 4 of the 5 test levels (and a 4/5 ranking in the last of the evaluations). “A comfortable shoe, super stable and maneuverable, for all uses: in the mountain, in the valley, with a light or heavy backpack”, says Franck Wacker, product tester and editor. On the test sheet the step, the climactic comfort and the excellent shock absorption of the Italian footwear were all praised, which thanks to its sole that fits with any surface and an optimum side grip, it can handle excursions at the lower/mid altitudes as well as more intense excursions at high altitudes.
Outdoor Magazin, with over 45,000 copies sold monthly, is one of the most popular German magazines for outdoor activities, trekking, and active travellers.
Tengu Low GTX is recognized by Skialper in its Outdoor Guide 2018 as among “The best mountain shoes of 2018”. In the guide, Tengu Low GTX is presented beside another 16 pairs of approach footwear and is defined as ideal footwear “to approach soft terrain, even for a few steps on rocks”, and as suitable for fast approaches, casual activity but also for hiking, climbing and geared paths. The tests commend its “fit for the foot, the high tongue and lacing that works well right up to the toe”, giving the footwear high marks in terms of comfort and traction.
Skialper is the Italian online and newsstand magazine of choice for mountain lovers and especially in the winter context. Every month the magazine reaches 40,000 people including subscriptions, readers and online users of skialper.it as well as social networks.
