The mountain lived with freedom and responsibility
How long and how many pairs of Superalp do you need to cross the entire Alps? From Monte Carlo to Trieste is about 2000 km, the metres of difference in height cannot be counted, but one pair of AKU Superalp is enough: effective, comfortable and safe for long-distance walking.
We know all this thanks to our ambassador Ivan Peri, who in 2014 realised the dream of a young man from Livigno, born and raised in the mountains and who made the mountains his job and his passion. That boy has come a long way, and not only in a metaphorical sense, since he set off with his father on his first excursions out the front door. He has come a long way by climbing many of the 4000-metre peaks in the Alps, and also by deciding that the mountains are also a responsibility, thus becoming a volunteer in the Alpine Rescue and president of the ‘atypical’ (Ivan’s words) CAI (Italian Mountains Club) section in Livigno. His commitment to the mountains does not stop there: Ivan is also a Glaciological Operator for the Glaciological Service of Lombardy, with the task of periodically monitoring our ‘suffering’ Alpine glaciers.
In winter he is a ski and telemark instructor, in summer an excursion guide. For Ivan the mountains are friends those must always be respected by following the criteria of ecology and eco-sustainability. With these values, he hosts in his small B&B ECOHOTEL Chalet des Alpes in Livigno those who want to experience freedom and connection with nature, seeing the Highlands from another perspective, broader and therefore more aware.
