Ezio Marlier
Pioneer of modern ice and mixed climbing
Ezio was born and raised in Valle d'Aosta, he is a mountain guide, athlete and mountaineer. Master of piolet traction, he has been a point of reference in modern ice and mixed climbing for thirty years. He has opened routes in mountains all over the world, although Mont Blanc and the Alps remain his main terrain; his specialty is ice and mixed climbing, but he also practices sport climbing at excellent levels and, thanks to his profession as a mountain guide, he lives the mountains on a daily basis.
