Alessandro Franza

An intimate mountain where new roots grow

Alessandro was born near the beaches of Maiori, Amalfi and Positano: not exactly the image of the mountains (this are some of the most beautiful Italian seaside town).
Yet his spirit was born wild and turned towards the Lattari mountains above him. Wearing his boots, it was towards those heights that he headed and, after climbing them, down to the sea.

His desire to stay away from the city leads him to study forestry, measure trees and search for traces of small (or large) wild animals. One day he finds himself in Abruzzo, in one of the most wild Italian National Park, and realises that his roots can grow and expand there: a new home.
The desire and passion for those new places lead Alessandro to become a volunteer guide and then to specialise, in 2015, by joining the Collegio Guide Alpine d’Abruzzo as a Medium Mountain Guide.

“Jamme”?! It means “let’s go”, it is an exhortation to overcome the small obstacles of each day, betraying the origins (it is a word in southern Italian dialect) of the one who have made it his association! With ‘Jamme’ Alessandro realises his way of being a guide, offering customised excursions so that everyone can have the richest and most enjoyable experience

“More than anything else, I think it is important to cultivate the ability to observe …”
